I am in the process of updating the website listing of remodels and skins to the current game versions. Some listings are out of date, but the latest models can be found on Yandex disk. Select the nation on the left menu to get to information on the current remodels.
I also am posting some remodels on WG Mods
Wargaming made graphics format and model changes in versions 1.0 and 1.6. This impacted many of my skins and remodels. As of 1.8 I have started correcting the old skins and remodels as time allows. I have deleted the older skins from Yandex disk download and am replacing them with working models. The old images may still be up, but I will be reworking and replacing them. Read below for more information on skins and remodels.
I have developed numerous ‘skins’ for the World of Tanks, they come in two flavors, Standard and Remodel.
INFORMATION ABOUT GRANDPA’S REMODELS:
Most of the remodels are not entirely mine, rather they are swaps of modules from WG models or other modders to form the specific combination or look. These come from parts and pieces remodels by much more accomplished modders, including: milkym4n, Avalon, foxerfit, Desyatnik_Pansy, TheFalkonett, Historical Remodelling Project, goodman12, professor, Wollolo, deh0mbre, Yamayan, Razerteck and HiBan.
- I configure and compile them to get a working model
- I repaint to highlight equipment or other add-ons and adds a light camo paint job. The light camo will not interfere with WG in game camo.
Standard
A ‘skin’ is nothing more than a repaint of a vehicle in World of Tanks. It is a ‘client’ skin, static, modification and therefore can only be seen in game by you, or other players using the same skin. All tanks of that identification will have the same skin in game, so all E-100 will look the same for example.
Remodel
A ‘model modification’ remodels the structure of the tank, as well as applying a custom skin. This is how you get crew members in a vehicle. These require over-riding the default in game models and may not always work from update to update. If you install a remodel and are having issue loading into game, delete it. The last update may have impacted the mod.
ABOUT REMODELS:
- Remodels are a visual and “client only” mod. It only changes visuals on your client, only you will see the mod in game.
- WG camo, emblems, and/or paint may not show properly
- It does not change in game performance, tank will continue to look and perform as prescribed by the in game server attributes and be seen by all others as designed by WG.
Below is an example of a remodel of the Tiger II. This is a revised Deshombre Tiger II “Veteran”, modified by Grandpa.

Information
Installing and Changing Grandpa’s Custom Skins info is here…
All my skins are made to use in-game decals and in-game camo, to block in-game camo see details below. Each download usually contains multiple skins. To change between them you must rename the selected skin to the default skin name, see details below. Folder usually contains various camo options. See included PDF for detailed installation and change instructions.
WARNING:
These downloads include ALL the vehicles in a NATION and/or CLASS. Installing a package will over ride any custom skins you may have installed. Before installing read Grandpa’s Custom Skin Installation Guide and if you already have custom skins you want to keep, install only those skins you want to add. Each package may have multiple skins for each vehicle, the guide explains how to change skins after installation.

can you add some crew in the Skorpion?
Nope, the only crew models I have are very old and none will work with the Skorpion
the SPG SU122A skin is not in the zip file
That would mean one of two things: 1) I haven’t done it yet 2) WG made it into HD and I haven’t done it yet
Anyway i can download single skins instead of all?
Nope, take them by series and only install the ones you want. Don’t have to install all. But for me to upload each individual skin and keep them updated… too much work…
Download button for China link tries to download ‘https://lotsastuff.info/download/china.zip’ – file not found. It works by changing url to https://lotsastuff.info/download/chinese.zip
Corrected Thanks
I’ve been enjoying your skins and appreciate the effort. A couple of suggestions: Could you please add revision numbers to each download file – like 0.9.6.01? Now that the files are broken down, will you be updating just these files and not creating misc. or one-off downloads? It’s been hard to keep track.
I used to do that, but it requires me to go and change the download url each time I update, with all my mods, way too much work… check the file dates…
Here are ways to check to see if an upload has been updated.
When I post a major change to an upload, I usually add a news item which is shown on the front page.
For the AIO, check out the AIO page, I date the latest upload, for the AIOs its now 2/3/2015 for example. If you downloaded prior to that date, there is an update
For skins, when I update, I usually post just those skins updated, or so note in news. I also include them in the overall nation package for those getting the full nation.
Yes, it is a little more difficult for the user to figure out exactly what is updated or not, but hugely more convenient for me. Since this is a hobby, not a business, the simpler for me works.
When i tried to download the british tanks, i receive the following message: https://lotsastuff%2Cinfo/download/british_td.zip which goes for medium, heavy and spg download link.
Could you please check this out??

Working on resolving the issue. For now just replace the %2C with a . (period) and the link works, not sure why the web page is not correctly linking.
OK, got it fixed, an issue with the caching system. Thanks for the report
Thank you for all the skins on the tanks, they look beautiful and really make the game more realistic.
One question, will there be a crew for the french and american artillary available anytime soon?
Thank again,
Drunky_101
Probably not. The original models came from a project called the Historical Model Project, which has long since gone stagnant. I then took those models and moved to to other tanks, then did custom skins. Will have to wait and see what WG HD re-skins do before making anymore remodels.
