For skins and mods copy the <strong>vehicles<\/strong> and<strong> script<\/strong> directory.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>For a more detailed view of what is in the skins directory or for installing the SD files old manual way, here is the process:<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus-circle su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Skins Directory Information<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<ol>\n<li>For this process I will be using the Tetrarch custom skin.\u00a0 So select you downloaded zip file.\u00a0 <strong>Tetrarch.zip<\/strong> (Image 1)<\/li>\n<li>Then select your World_of_Tanks\/res_mods\/0.x.x\/ folder (where 0.x.x is the current game version) (Image 2)<\/li>\n<li>Then move the vehicles directory from the Tetrarch.zip file into the 0.x.x directory.\u00a0 Answer <strong>YES<\/strong> to the copy and replace when prompted by Windows. (Image 3)<\/li>\n<li>Done&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"margin-left: auto; display: block; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/grandpasmods.info\/images\/wot\/mods\/skins1.jpg\" alt=\"skins1\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Image 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/grandpasmods.info\/images\/wot\/mods\/skins2.jpg\" alt=\"skins2\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Image 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/grandpasmods.info\/images\/wot\/mods\/skins3.jpg\" alt=\"skins3\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Image 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>To Change Skins After Installation<\/h3>\n<p>There are two methods for changing skins:<\/p>\n<p>For the HD\u00a0models, I have included separate tank directories for each skin, I&#8217;ll use the M18 Hellcat as an example.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>inside the res_mods\/x.x.x\/vehicle\/american directory you will find multiple directories for the M18 Hellcat.\n<ul>\n<li>A41_M18_Hellcat<\/li>\n<li>A41_M18_Hellcat_desert<\/li>\n<li>A41_M18_Hellcat_gp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The A41_M18_Hellcat is the &#8216;default&#8217; directory and that skin will be displayed in game. \u00a0If you want another to be displayed instead, rename the A41_M18_Hellcat deault directory to A41_M18_Hellcat_def<\/li>\n<li>Then rename the directory of your choice, for example A41_M18_Hellcat_gp to A41_M18_Hellcat the re-enter the game, teh gp (general purpose) skin will now show.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If using the old SD skins then follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Find the tank directory.\u00a0 It&#8217;s located at World_of_Tanks\\res_mods\\0.x.x\\vehicles\\&lt;nation&gt;\\&lt;tank&gt; in this case World_of_Tanks\\res_mods\\0.x.4\\vehicles\\russian\\R84_Tetrarch_LL (Image 4)<\/li>\n<li>Locate the default skin file. &lt;tank_name&gt;.dds <strong>(&lt;tank_name_AM.dds for HD models)<\/strong> and rename it to &lt;tank_name&gt;_(AM)_bu.dds.\u00a0 Here we are using the Tetrarch, so the default tank skin is the Tetrarch_LL.dds.\u00a0 We rename that to Tetrarch_LL_bu.dds.\u00a0 This saves our default in case we need it later. (Image 5)<\/li>\n<li>Locate the skin you desire to change to.\u00a0 You can use the enclosed image file, or if none, the image file at Curse, to select your skin.\u00a0 In this example we want to change to teh desert skin, so we select Tetrarch_LL_desesrt.dds, right-click and select Copy. (Image 6)<\/li>\n<li>Then select a blank space inside the directory, right-click, select Paste, you will now have a &#8220;copy&#8221; of the desired file<\/li>\n<li>Right-click on the &#8220;copy&#8221; and select Rename (Image 7)<\/li>\n<li>Rename the &#8220;copy&#8221; to the default tank name, in this case, Tetrarch_LL.dds (Image 8)<\/li>\n<li>Now in game the Tetrarch will appear with the desert camo skin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> After version 0.9.0, default may be named with _AM added, for example Tetrarch.dds would become Tetrach_AM.dds.
